Matthew ‘Bruce’ Whitehead
With over 15 years in the maritime industry and a lifetime of experience on the water, Bruce spent his youth racing high-performance sailboats, teaching and coaching sailing, and went on to campaign for the 2016 Olympics in the Sport of Sailing. He then competed on several professional circuits such as the World Match Race Tour, the Red Bull Youth Americas Cup, and the Extreme Sailing Series.

Sunday - Arrival & Orientation - Guana Cay Fly into Leonard Thompson Airport (MHH) in Marsh Harbor and board your Outremer catamaran at Marsh Harbour Marina. Your captain will have the yacht fully provisioned and ready to go. After introductions and a comprehensive safety briefing, we'll review the week's plan and work together to prepare the boat for departure. Set sail to nearby Guana Cay to enjoy Nippers and Grabbers beach bars for the famous ‘Sunday funday', the perfect opportunity to get to know your new friends for the week!
Monday - Manjack Cay Wake to the gentle sounds of water against the hulls and take your first swim in crystal-clear Bahamian waters. Today you'll sail north to Manjack Cay, where you’ll enjoy a remote anchorage. Take the dinghy to explore the beautiful mangroves and to see hundreds of baby turtles, stingrays and fish. The boats will raft up and we can enjoy dinner and drinks together.
Tuesday - Fowl Cay & Man-O-War Cay Unfurl your gennakers, we’re sending it south to experience world-class snorkeling at Fowl Cay, where you can explore underwater caves and tunnels around stunning coral heads. Practice your free diving skills in the clear waters. Sail to historic Man-O-War Cay, the traditional boat-building capital of the Abacos where you can take time to stretch your legs and explore this charming settlement.
Wednesday - Hope Town & Elbow Cay Navigate to the picturesque township of Hope Town on Elbow Cay. Stroll across to the Atlantic side to discover pristine white sand beaches. Learn about reading ocean conditions and understanding the difference between Sea of Abaco and Atlantic waters. Catch sunset at Captain Jacks restaurant before enjoying dinner at Hope Town Inn.
Thursday - Little Harbor Head south and enjoy a breakfast stop at the stunning Tahiti Beach, which only uncovers at low tide. Sail on towards Little Harbour, navigating around the shallow sand banks off Tilloo Cay.
