Arcady
NEW Outremer 48
Base: Abaco Islands
Test Sail Outremers Newest Model
This season only: Test sails in the Abacos
Experience the brand-new 2026 Outremer 48, Arcady, firsthand in the Abaco Islands. This is an opportunity to spend a day sailing the boat, get a feel for her performance and handling, and experience how the Outremer 48 performs in real-world conditions.
Designed by VPLP with interiors by Darnet Design, Arcady combines the performance Outremer is known for with the comfort and practicality expected from a modern cruising catamaran. Her lightweight construction, twin daggerboards, 25-foot beam, and shallow 4-foot draft make her particularly well suited to sailing and exploring the waters of the Bahamas.
Test sails are tailored around the conditions and your interests, with time to experience everything from sailing performance and boat handling to the layout, systems, and overall feel of the boat. Rather than simply viewing the yacht at the dock, a day under sail gives prospective owners the chance to understand how the boat moves, responds, and performs across different points of sail.
For those considering an Outremer 48, a test sail aboard Arcady provides an opportunity to experience the boat in its natural environment and gain a better understanding of what living and sailing aboard a performance catamaran of this size is really like. It is also an opportunity to discuss ownership, cruising plans, and how the boat can be configured around your intended use.
Test sails are available by appointment during the ‘26/ season. To arrange a private day aboard Arcady in the Abacos, contact us to discuss availability and schedule your test sail.
Why Choose Arcady
Experienced Outremer Skippers
Test sail with experienced skippers who know the Outremer platform and can help you understand how Arcady performs under sail. From sail trim and daggerboard use to handling and manoeuvring, the day is an opportunity to experience the boat from behind the helm and ask questions along the way.
The Newest Outremer Afloat
Launched in 2026, Arcady is one of the newest Outremer 48s afloat, built at Outremer’s shipyard in Lorient, France. Experience the latest generation of Outremer design and see how the boat brings together lightweight construction, performance, and comfort.
Experience Outremer Performance
Feel the difference of a lightweight performance catamaran under sail. With twin daggerboards, a carbon tiller on starboard, and a comfortable new helm position on port with swing helm, Arcady gives you a direct connection to the boat and the water. Experience her acceleration, responsiveness, and ability to sail efficiently across a range of conditions.
Explore the Owner’s Layout
Step aboard an owner’s edition Outremer 48 and experience the layout in real use. Arcady features two private cabins, a spacious salon with panoramic views, and a generous L-shaped cockpit. The port-forward My Free Space cabin offers a flexible additional space that can be adapted to suit different owner needs, converting from a home office to additional bed. This is particularly useful to experience in person when considering your own configuration.
See the Boat in Her Natural Environment
Based in the Abaco Islands, Arcady can be experienced in the conditions and environment where a performance cruising catamaran is meant to be sailed. The shallow 4-foot draft, daggerboards, and responsive handling make the Bahamas an ideal setting to see what the Outremer 48 is capable of, both underway and at anchor.
