Sea People x Vagabonde Adventures Greece Flotilla

Saronic Islands | 11–18 July 2026

This isn't just a trip. It's a floating gathering of sea people.

One week. One flotilla. Some of the most beautiful anchorages in the world — and a group of like-minded adventure seekers to share it with.

This summer, SeaPeople and Vagabonde Adventures are joining forces to bring the sailing community together on the water in Greece. Whether you own a boat, sail occasionally, or have never set foot on deck — there's a place for you in this flotilla.

Where You're Going

The Saronic Islands. Crystal-clear water, whitewashed villages, hidden coves, and some of the finest anchorages the Mediterranean has to offer — all within easy reach of Athens. Guided by area experts who know exactly where to drop anchor and where to find the best table ashore.

How It Works

Everyone sails together, anchors together, and rafts up together. The format is simple: great people, great sailing, great destinations.

⛵️ No boat? No problem. Book a private cabin on one of our fully crewed catamarans. Your Captain and Chef are included — just show up and enjoy the ride. No sailing experience needed.

🚢 Want the whole boat? Charter a full boat with a skipper and join the flotilla on your own terms. Perfect for groups, couples, or families.

🛥️ Got your own boat? Bring it. Sail alongside fellow sea people, island-hop through the Saronic, and join us at anchor for our raft-ups — the kind of spontaneous moments that turn into stories you'll tell for years.

A JOURNEY THROUGH TIME

A T H E N S
Welcome to Athens, the heart of Ancient Greece, a powerful civilization and empire. The city of Parthenon is an open air museum. Taking a walk in the historic center is an unforgettable journey through history.

P O R O S
Just a short sail from Athens, in the heart of the Saronic Gulf, lies Poros. Its beauty has been praised by poets and prose writers. Take a scooter ride through the island’s hills and discover hidden bays and sandy beaches, it’s a place of great beauty.

S P E T S E S
Sailing South from Poros we will discover the Island of Spetses. A picturesque, car-free island with unique architecture, naval history and culture. You will love strolling the waterfront on foot, or you could opt for a tour in a horse drawn carriage!

D O K O S
Dokos is a small Greek island with turquoise waters located between Hydra, Spetses and the mainland coast. Hike to the rocky peak to capture an unforgettable sunset and enjoy a night rafted up at anchor.

H Y D R A
Narrow alleys, donkeys walking around, churches and little shops set the charming atmosphere of the island. A clifftop dinner with the astonishing view of the sunset over the Aegean Sea makes this a favorite for all who’ve been lucky enough to visit.

A G I S T R I
Agistri is a small, verdant island boasting lovely pebble and sand beaches, rocky cliffs, and tiny, hidden coves. Raft the yachts in a secluded bay and dinghy to a local seafood restaurant to taste the local delicacies.

We recommend pre-booking your taxi for arrival and departure. Taxi wait lines at the airport can be very long and rates can fluctuate. We recommend the following taxi provider: Nikole +30 690 777 7700 (Whatsapp or Viber) or via email: nikole4taxi@gmail.com

Should you not be able to book with Nikole or would prefer to take a cab from outside the marina, we recommend using the app “Beat-ride app” or Uber (Uber in Greece works, but only calls taxis).

I N T H E M A R I N A

Meeting time with your Skipper and Chef is at 2 pm Saturday in your marina. If you arrive early, you can check in at marina office and request to leave your bags there for the morning while you explore Athens.

Embarking: Boats are usually ready to embark at 5 pm. In the meantime you can head to a nearby supermarket to do the food shop for the week. We recommend stocking up at the start of the week as the small stores on the islands have limited stock and are more expensive.

Disembarking: We arrive back at the marina on Friday evening by 6 pm and will spend the final night with a farewell dinner nearby. Guests must disembark the yachts by 9 am on Saturday.

  • The dress code on the islands is casual (shorts & t-shirts) and only the most exclusive restaurants require elegant clothing.

  • The Time zone is Eastern European Summer Time.

  • Grocery stores are generally open 08:00- 21:00.

  • The majority of islanders are religious (Christian Orthodox) and this should be respected.

In August Athens generally has very high temperatures with maximum daytime temperatures around 34°C (94°F), minimum nighttime temperatures around 25°C (76°F) and low monthly rainfall. With water reaching a maximum of 28°C (83°F),  and an average of 26°C (79°F), going in the water (and staying there!) feels great.

Why join a flotilla?

Flotillas are the most social way to sail. You will make new friends from all around the world, all bonding over this shared experience. Wake up early and explore an ancient village, grabbing a morning coffee with your new friend you met while snorkeling the day before. Enjoy a sundowner on the next boat over, learning more about the country that they are from. Talk sailing with the crew you were racing to be the first to the anchorage… there is nothing more fulfilling than making new friends.

Also, quite simply, joining a flotilla can be the most economical way to go sailing. It can be hard to organise a big group of friends to charter a full boat. Why not just grab your best friend and go for it, book a cabin and join a shared boat, and get out there to explore the world.

Want to bareboat one of the yachts and join the flotilla? Or join with your own boat?

First time chartering for yourself? Never sailed in Greece and could use some guidance? Or simply want to join in the fun of sailing in a flotilla? Join us as we sail the beautiful Saronic Islands for a week of sunshine and good times. Sail under the guidance of the expert Vagabonde Adventures crew, discover new places and build your confidence.

Fill out the form and tell us about your previous sailing experience, number of people in your group and we will find the perfect boat for you!
